Brian Goodman, Esq.

Brian S. Goodman has been practicing law in Maryland since 1982. A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University (B.A. 1979) and The University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 1982), Brian is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and is admitted to the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the Fourth and Fifth Circuit United States Courts of Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims.

Brian concentrates in tort and insurance litigation. He has a great deal of experience in general liability claims, representation of religious institutions, serious personal injury cases, and first party property claims.

He has lectured extensively for continuing education credit across the country in the field of first party property claims, and he has presented before various committees of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and before many state legislatures.

Brian has also been recognized in numerous states as an expert in the field of first party property claims and has recently published a chapter in the ABA book on first party property litigation. For the last 20 years, Brian has also served as General Counsel for a large national insurance claim trade association. Brian was recently elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, a prominent national organization dedicated to the prevention of insurance fraud in all lines.

In his “spare” time, Brian is the General Manager of the Young Victorian Theatre Company, Baltimore’s oldest musical theatre. He is an avid Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoys spending time with his dogs, Jax and Kenai. Bruce Springsteen is Brian’s favorite musical artist.
